Seoul Business Agency Recruits Startups for Global SNS Marketing Support Project
Reading Time: 2 minutesThe Seoul Business Agency (SBA) is currently accepting applications for its “Global SNS Marketing Support Project” until May 24th. This initiative is designed to assist Seoul-based startups and small businesses that are facing challenges entering international markets. The project utilizes popular social media channels and local influencers across 13 countries—Taiwan, Russia, USA, Malaysia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Singapore, India, Indonesia, Japan, China, Thailand, and the Philippines—to boost brand recognition and lay the groundwork for sustainable exports.
Last year, the project facilitated the export of 524 products from 100 distinguished Seoul startups and small businesses, generating total sales of approximately KRW 5.3 billion. This figure represents an outstanding return of more than 13 times the support budget.
This year, with the USA added as a new target country, the project now spans 13 nations. It collaborates with marketing partners skilled in promotional marketing and export support. These partners evaluate the commercial viability, market potential, and growth prospects of products from Seoul-based startups and small businesses, tailoring marketing programs to each company’s preparedness and the specific characteristics of each target country.
Park Kyung-rak, manager of SEOUL STARTUP HUB Changdong, commented, “Amid a global economic slowdown and shrinking consumer sentiment, Seoul’s startups and small businesses, which possess superior technology and products, are finding it difficult to break into new foreign markets and increase sales. Through this Global SNS Marketing Support Project, we are committed to actively enhancing the value of products and brands from outstanding local companies and ensuring their competitiveness abroad, thus establishing a solid foundation for initial exports.”
