TOFF, a sustainable air mobility startup established in July last year, is pioneering the electric aircraft industry in Asia. In just one year, it has actively collaborated with leading global electric aircraft companies, introduced and certified the first domestic electric aircraft, and achieved various milestones, including partnerships with Korea Airports Corporation, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport‘s electric aircraft pilot project, and local government initiatives.

The electric aircraft industry is rapidly growing, with an average annual growth rate of 10%. It is gaining attention as a solution to climate change, aviation industry decarbonization, noise reduction, and high fuel costs.

TOFF aims to become Asia’s largest e-mobility company by 2030, starting with aviation leisure and training services and expanding to regional transportation services. In line with the growth of the UAM (Urban Air Mobility) and AAM (Advanced Air Mobility) industries, the investment will be used for research and development of total solutions (EV AIR CARE) and the expansion of the electric aircraft fleet. Notably, Sopoong Ventures has continued its partnership with TOFF MOBILITY through their Typhoon Program in the latter half of 2023.

Choi Beom-gyu, an investment officer at Sopoong Ventures, commented, “The need for carbon neutrality in the aviation industry and the regulatory demands are increasing faster and more steeply than anticipated. As the paradigm of air mobility begins to shift, we have high expectations for TOFF MOBILITY’s capabilities and potential to establish a leading position in the domestic electric aircraft market.”

Jung Chan-young, CEO of TOFF, expressed his ambitions, saying, “We will pioneer the future air mobility market in Korea and contribute to creating a healthy ecosystem. We aim to play a significant role in the rapidly growing eco-friendly air mobility industry and aspire to become Asia’s No.1 electric aircraft company.”
