Primer’s 23rd Demo Day Showcases 11 Teams to Over 1,400 Attendees

Korea’s startup accelerator, ‘Primer,’ hosted its ’23rd Demo Day’ on the 13th. This event drew significant attention, with more than 1,400 participants, including entrepreneurs, aspiring entrepreneurs, students, and professionals.

This Demo Day was conducted in partnership with Seed TIPS, an initiative focused on discovering and nurturing startups through investment and incubation. It featured 11 teams that presented their products publicly for the first time.

Let’s take a look at the teams that participated in this Demo Day.

GenIP (CEO Jong-Goo Jung): An AI Patent Agent for Patent Attorneys

GenIP is the first AI service to undertake digital transformation (DX) in the traditional field of patent attorneys. It introduces an AI assistant that takes on the role of a patent agent, assisting patent attorneys by converting inventors’ consultation details into invention summaries and drafting patent specification drafts based on these. This enables patent attorneys to customize patent specifications in detail through commands to the AI assistant, significantly reducing the drafting time from 2-5 days to 2-5 minutes.

Cremit (CEO Dong-Hyun Kim): A Secret All-in-One Solution for Security Teams

Credentials stored unknowingly within an organization are constantly at risk of internal and external leaks. Cremit’s service seamlessly integrates with source code repositories, collaboration tools, and file storages, among others, to detect credential leak threats, enabling security teams to respond. Beyond credential detection, Cremit offers a Vault service for secure storage, enabling effective credential threat management.

OrderCheck (CEO Woongap Jung): An Interior Construction Ordering App for Business Operators

OrderCheck simplifies the process of ordering all necessary construction works, allowing users to efficiently manage costs and share work orders and site-specific details in real time. As of February this year, OrderCheck has exceeded 2,000 customers and 3,500 sites, with monthly construction transactions surpassing KRW 200 million.

Wonderslab (CEO Eui-sun Han): A Work-Specific AI Assistant for Professionals

Wonderslab provides AI assistant services to support the operations of small and medium-sized enterprises in areas like marketing, consulting, and PR. Its flagship products include ‘Wdot,’ aiding in 21 types of document tasks; ‘Idot,’ creating professional mid-journey prompts; and ‘Sdot,’ for suggesting and drafting SNS content.

REMETAL INTERNATIONAL (CEO Hwanchul Yeo): Distributing Recycled Metal Scrap Globally

Established in the USA, REMETAL engages in the procurement and sale of metal scrap on a global scale. With the demand for scrap metal expected to rise to over KRW 500 trillion by 2050 due to carbon neutrality mandates, REMETAL, leveraging its expertise in the international scrap metal market, reported sales of KRW 77 billion in 2023, its second year of operation. The company leads in exporting Korean volumes and sales to Asia, aiming for an IPO in the US market while continuing its growth and investing in production facilities.

Plfil (CEO Min-guk Ryu): An Actor Casting Platform

Plfil, with its database of over 20,000 actors, streamlines the process of finding actors for films, dramas, and advertisements, and is also used for discovering new talent. Last year, Plfil received 230,000 audition applications and has been utilized by various productions and companies, including Squid Game 2 and Kakao Entertainment.

Coffeeting (CEO Hyun-woo Shin): A 50-Minute Coffee Blind Date with Your Ideal Type

Coffeeting offers a dating service that allows you to enjoy coffee with your ideal type for 50 minutes. When you sign up for Coffeeting, the service finds the perfect match for you and coordinates the meeting time and place. Unlike other dating services that focus solely on matching, Coffeeting actively facilitates real meetings, thereby increasing the chances of successful relationships.

Realizable (CEO Dong-myung Won): Prop Factory, A factory management office like never before

Realizable’s ‘Factory Manager’ serves as a digital office for managing rental factories. Much like an apartment building houses several families, manufacturing plants often share a building among multiple companies. Rental factories, common in the manufacturing industry (comprising 92%-99% of small-scale factories with fewer than 30 employees), present a challenge in determining the management fees for each company, a problem that Realizable addresses.

EXTORY (CEO Byung-chul Kim): A B2B SaaS for Development Team Management

EXTORY’s BCTO is a team management service tailored for development teams. It makes the intangible results of development work accessible to non-developers by distinguishing developers’ individual patterns and types of work. BCTO allows non-developers to easily grasp the status of development, facilitating effective communication and team management beyond traditional one-way communication methods.

Mission-driven (CEO Jin-soo Kim): Curious, A Playground for Middle-aged and Older Adults’ Enjoyment and Growth

Curious is a social platform that enables middle-aged and older adults to trade their knowledge and experiences. It provides ‘Gathering,’ a service for participating in or creating various online and offline meetings, and ‘eBooks,’ for trading knowledge in file format. To assist middle-aged and older adults in overcoming digital barriers, it conducts weekly digital classes and offers support services such as ‘Manager’s 1:1 Calls’ and ‘Detailed Page Design,’ enabling them to produce and sell content based on their experiential capital.

VisaFlo (CEO Yul-bin Kim): An Automated Solution for Visa Application Documents

VisaFlo offers an automated document creation solution for immigration law firms focused on preferred immigration countries like Canada and the USA. Law firm staff currently spend six hours a day gathering visa applicant information through fragmented channels and filling out more than seven complex government forms. VisaFlo enables law firms to accurately collect necessary information from clients with just a few clicks and automatically generate all documents in under 10 seconds.
