The Korean content production company SOROCK has secured pre-seed investment from 500 Global. SOROCK specializes in producing content based on the One Source Multi Use (OSMU) strategy, capable of generating various added values from a single piece of content, including webtoons, movies, and animations.

SOROCK is dedicated to resolving the inefficiencies present in the traditional content value chain. It accomplishes this by fostering collaboration among different stakeholders, such as webtoon and drama writers, from the planning phase, thereby creating high-quality original content. Additionally, SOROCK has established an efficient infrastructure for planning, production, and distribution. Furthermore, SOROCK is planning to create original IP-based webtoons that target the global market, in close collaboration with production companies in Japan and North America.

Hyunmo Koo, an investment analyst at 500 Global, commented, “Through its differentiated production system and the development of sophisticated original IPs, SOROCK is expected to become a content company that gains recognition not only domestically but also internationally.”
Kang Kyung-hoon, CEO of SOROCK, comes from a background as a webtoon artist, having serialized works such as ‘Mirror Game’ and ‘Child of the Stars.’ He previously managed production at the webtoon-focused creative studio Kenaz. Kang stated, “Leveraging our extensive experience in content production, we aim to transform into a studio that offers a broader and higher quality range of K-content to fans around the world.”
