NEARTHLAB, a South Korean autonomous drone startup, is set to participate in the world’s largest unmanned vehicle expo, AUVSI XPONENTIAL 2024, taking place in San Diego, USA, from May 23 to 25. The company aims to aggressively penetrate the local market by showcasing solutions specifically tailored for defense and public safety, including a high-speed collision drone and the versatile autonomous drone AiDEN.

AUVSI XPONENTIAL is hosted by The Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) and serves as a forum for global leaders, end-users, and experts in the drone and robotics industries to share challenges and explore new opportunities.

At this year’s AUVSI XPONENTIAL 2024, NEARTHLAB will establish an exhibit in the Public Safety Pavilion where it plans to engage with U.S. state government officials and security personnel. A highlight will be the unveiling of the high-speed collision drone to North American officials for the first time. In a context of escalating drone threats to vital public infrastructures such as ports, power plants, and substations, this drone is designed to be deployed in areas requiring physical security to neutralize drones intended for illegal filming or terrorist activities.

NEARTHLAB previously showcased AiDEN at CES 2024 in Las Vegas, highlighting the potential of compact, multi-purpose autonomous drones. After demonstrating the effectiveness of its AI-driven autonomous drone solutions in conducting safety inspections of wind turbines in the USA, NEARTHLAB is now looking to expand its focus from safety inspections to broader applications in public safety and defense, further developing its proprietary hardware.

Jae-hyuk Choi, CEO of NEARTHLAB, said, “At CES 2024 and Drone Show Korea, we received numerous inquiries from local governments and security facilities about the performance of AiDEN and our high-speed collision drone. We hope that NEARTHLAB’s AI autonomous drones and solutions will play a significant role in enhancing global safety.”
