NXN Labs Secures Early Investment for Pioneering AI Image Generation Technology
South Korean image generation AI startup NXN Labs has secured investment from Naver D2SF, KB Investment, and Smilegate Investment. Just two months after its incorporation, NXN Labs has successfully raised its first round of funding, confirming its technological value and potential. The company is actively developing AI models designed for e-commerce applications, such as virtual fittings and the creation of virtual models.
NXN Labs is gearing up to introduce solutions for the fashion industry that enable the easy creation of high-quality images while maintaining the unique design characteristics of brands. Utilizing a proprietary dataset, these solutions precisely replicate design patterns and model physiques, delivering attractive, high-resolution images. This represents a significant efficiency improvement over traditional methods, where fashion brands spend substantial time and resources producing lookbooks and advertising images.
Currently, NXN Labs is engaged in Proof of Concept (PoC) trials with fashion brands and domestic e-commerce platforms, using its in-house developed models. These trials have garnered positive feedback on the quality of the generated images. The company is gearing up to establish references primarily within the domestic and international e-commerce and advertising industries this year. Additionally, NXN Labs is enhancing its technology to launch commercial solutions in North America by 2025.
Founded in December of the previous year, NXN Labs is an early-stage startup with a team skilled in diffusion model technology development and international business development. CEO Jae-won Lee, a Stanford computer engineering graduate with experience at McKinsey and SBVA, has a profound market understanding. CTO Rina Hong, also a Stanford graduate in cognitive engineering, previously contributed to research and product development in Microsoft’s CoPilot team within the Generative AI department.
