FluentT, a Korean developer specializing in generative AI-based avatar motion creation solutions, has successfully completed its first round of pre-series A funding. The amount raised remains undisclosed. This round of investment, which included participation from SparkLABs and Korea Investment Accelerator, has enabled FluentT to secure a cumulative investment of approximately 1 billion won and has set the stage for their second round of pre-series A fundraising discussions.

As a member of the KOREA CREATIVE CONTENT AGENCY (KOCCA) New Content Enterprise Support Center, FluentT is an innovative startup at the forefront of developing ‘Speech Motion’ technology. This technology enables the creation of 3D avatar motions using solely voice and text inputs. With FluentT’s ‘Speech Motion’ technology, it is possible to generate animated avatars on mobile devices in under a second. Additionally, this technology can facilitate real-time conversations with AI through APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) integrated into conversational AI platforms like ChatGPT.

Investors have expressed their confidence in FluentT, stating, “In 2023, FluentT not only successfully validated its technology but also achieved revenue generation. We anticipate that through the commercialization of this technology, FluentT will continue to generate steady revenue in the future.”

FluentT was also selected last year for the TIPS by the Korean Ministry of SMEs and Startups. Moreover, at CES 2024, during the KOCCA night event held on January 10th, FluentT conducted an English IR pitch targeting representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of South Korea, the Korea Creative Content Agency, and local Accelerators/Venture Capitals. This event enabled them to network and secure potential clients, laying a solid foundation for their stable entry into the global market.

Jeon Yechan, CEO of FluentT, remarked, “The industry trend for generative AI is shifting towards the creation of 3D avatar motions, moving beyond just generating simple texts, images, videos, and 3D models. With our technology capable of generating 3D avatar motions in 180 languages, FluentT is poised for rapid expansion into the global market.
