Reading Time: 2 minutesThe South Korean hospitality company ONDA has entered into a strategic partnership with the Seed Group from the United Arab Emirates to pursue digital transformation projects in the hotel industry across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. This partnership marks ONDA’s significant foray into these markets through a local joint venture.
The Seed Group, owned by Sheikh Saeed bin Ahmed Al Maktoum—a member of the Dubai royal family in the UAE—partners with companies worldwide to foster business growth and sustainable development within the Middle East.
For the past two decades, the Seed Group has developed collaborative relationships with numerous global corporations and has established a vast infrastructure within the Middle East across various sectors, including IT, hospitality, healthcare, and telecommunications.
This partnership aims to fast-track the digital transformation of hotels in both the MENA and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) regions. Utilizing the Seed Group’s extensive local network, ONDA intends to improve customer experiences and operational efficiencies for existing hotels, as well as to broaden the provision of SaaS-based solutions like Property Management Systems (PMS) and Central Reservation Systems (CRS) to new hotels.
ONDA currently manages the distribution of over 700,000 properties through more than 50 online channels worldwide and supplies operational solutions to around 4,500 lodging facilities, spearheading the digital transformation of the global hospitality industry.
Hisham Al Gurg, CEO of the Seed Group, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “We are thrilled to work alongside ONDA, which boasts remarkable expertise and achievements. We are confident that ONDA’s technology will introduce innovative changes to the hospitality industry in the Middle East.”
