Korean Space IoT startup GOQUAL, which operates the home IoT brand ‘Hejhome‘, has secured Series B investment. This round was led by LG Electronics, with participation from Kiwoom Securities, NH Hedge Asset Management, Yoo Kyung Asset Management, Tuya Global, and the existing investor, Kolon Investment.
The funds will be allocated to the development of AI services, management solutions for one-room and villa, and other technological enhancements.
Launched in 2019, Hejhome has garnered 800,000 users, boasting a 48% Monthly Active User rate and an average app usage time of 29 minutes. Living up to its slogan, ‘Unforeseen Comfort, Changed Daily Life’, it offers a range of IoT products such as home cameras and pet feeders that bring comfort to everyday life.
Woosangbeom, CEO of GOQUAL, stated, “With this investment, we aim to provide customers with a new experience that combines appliances and objects by enhancing compatibility with LG Electronics’ ThinQ. We plan to further sophisticate the Hejhome service by integrating AI and to offer services for various space operators.” He also expressed his commitment to making the brand trustworthy and beloved by customers.
Additionally, GOQUAL is leading the market by developing both Matter hub and cloud solutions with its proprietary technology, as the home IoT market expands with the activation of the Matter standard. The company recently acquired CSA certification for three Matter devices and plans to continue spearheading the popularization of home IoT products.
