Ahmo Travel Attracts Investment to Expand Unique Adventure Travel Experiences

Ahmo Travel, a bespoke 1:1 adventure travel agency based in South Korea, has successfully attracted investment from Merry Year Social Company (MYSC). Since its inception in February 2023, Ahmo Travel, which is inspired by the concept of “beautiful adventure” as suggested by its name ‘Ahmo’, has secured its second round of investment. 

Jeong Yeojin, CEO of Ahmo Travel, after traversing over 100 cities, pinpointed the asymmetry of information as the primary challenge in adventure tourism. To tackle this, the company unveiled personalized travel offerings that are more flexible than traditional package tours and more comfortable than solo travel.

Currently, Ahmo Travel’s operations are concentrated in Africa, a renowned adventure travel hotspot. The service provides access to a variety of destinations including Tanzania, Kenya, South Africa, and Botswana, and plans are underway to expand its offerings to new locations such as Madagascar, South America, and India this year.

Kim Bitgoul, a consultant at MYSC, shared her enthusiasm for the investment in Ahmo Travel, noting, “Given the trend towards more personalized products in the tourism sector and the increasing appetite for adventure, we are optimistic that Ahmo Travel will encourage exploration of new destinations and deliver unprecedented travel experiences.”

Jeong Yeojin, CEO of Ahmo Travel, expressed, “Adventure travel is not synonymous with perilous journeys; it aligns more closely with luxury travel. We are committed to changing travelers’ perceptions through expanding into new destinations and engaging in vigorous marketing efforts, with the goal of evolving into Asia’s premier adventure tour platform.”
