Alicorn Secures Strategic Investment from Designhouse for Innovation

Alicorn, the South Korean company behind the online and offline work platforms ‘Rocketpunch‘ and ‘JIBMUSIL,’ has attracted strategic investment from Designhouse, a specialist in design content. Designhouse is known for publishing ‘Monthly Design,’ the first design magazine in South Korea, and for organizing a variety of design-related exhibitions annually. This investment was facilitated through the ‘Designation’ fund, a collaborative startup investment support program run by Designhouse and accelerator JONES&ROCKET.

JONES&ROCKET partner Won Jeong-wook commented on the investment, highlighting Alicorn’s innovative approach to creating new types of office spaces by blending spatial design skills with AI technology, as demonstrated in their management of JIBMUSIL. He expressed enthusiasm for developing creative design services that align with the Fourth Industrial Revolution, in close collaboration with Alicorn.

In response to this investment, Alicorn intends to showcase its ‘ASA (Alicorn SpaceAI)’ solution, an AI-powered space management technology, to participants at the Seoul Living Design Fair, organized by Designhouse. Additionally, Alicorn plans to integrate its JIBMUSIL platform into Designhouse’s forthcoming co-working space project for designers, demonstrating a commitment to active collaboration.

Alicorn’s co-CEO Jo Min-hee said, “The partnership with Designhouse provides us with the opportunity to expand Alicorn’s value in the design industry. We look forward to presenting a future-oriented space platform that merges AI and design.”

To date, Alicorn has received a total investment of around KRW 10 billion. Following the launch of its ASA solution earlier this year, the company is expanding its sales channels both domestically and internationally, targeting businesses that offer services through their physical spaces, such as offices, accommodations, gyms, unmanned warehouses, and showrooms.
