The South Korean startup ORBITERS, which operates the specialized infant marketplace ‘zezebaebae‘ in the United States, has secured a seed investment from SpringCamp. ORBITERS is leading the expansion of both online and offline sales in the US by partnering with Korea’s category-killer infant product brands.

The US infant product market is estimated to be around KRW 120 trillion, exhibiting a size and growth potential that is more than eight times larger than the KRW 15 trillion Korean infant product market.

ORBITERS ensures the safety of all products sold by obtaining safety tests required by the FDA and CPSC. Last year, several of its partner brands’ products were selected for the Parents’ Picks Awards. Since its launch in 2023, ‘zezebaebae’ has been recording double-digit monthly growth. It currently features categories such as straw cups, bottles, infant tableware, indoor clothing, nursing sheets, and handkerchiefs, with renowned brands like Gromimi, Bamboobebe, Alpremio, and BabyRabbit onboard. The platform plans to introduce new brands in categories including infant snacks, cosmetics, cleansers, furniture, and bedding in the first half of the year.

With the newly raised funds, ORBITERS plans to enhance data-driven, locally-friendly marketing through the production of infant content, the building of a mom influencer network, and the operation of SNS channels. Additionally, it aims to actively pursue entry into the offline market through collaborations with renowned retail buyers such as Walmart, Target, and Macy’s.

ORBITERS was co-founded by Choi Wonjun, a former executive at Skylake Investment and Macquarie Group; Song Juyeon, a former Boston Consulting Group consultant and founder of the US beauty tech startup ManiMe; and Lee Minjae, a co-founder of NSB.

Ko Kyungpyo, director of SpringCamp, stated, “ORBITERS is a team capable of creating a successful example of how K-brands can thrive abroad. We plan to actively support ORBITERS in becoming the number one export company in the US infant category.”

Choi Wonjun, co-CEO of ORBITERS, expressed, “Through this investment, we aim to lead Korea’s premier infant product brands to global recognition for their quality and help them become global enterprises.” Song Juyeon, co-CEO, expressed her ambition, saying, “We aim to contribute to making K-baby the next K-Beauty and to showcase another dimension of the strength of Made in Korea.”
