Vietnam-based hourly hotel booking service Go2Joy raises KRW 1.5 billion in funding
Reading Time: < 1 minuteGo2Joy, a Vietnam-based hourly hotel reservation agency service, has raised KRW 1.5 billion in funding from The Invention Lab.
Go2Joy recognized the growing need for private spaces among Vietnam’s 2030 lovers, couples, and friends. Differentiating itself from other online travel agencies (OTAs) that cater to foreigners, Go2Joy provides hourly hotel booking services for domestic customers, focusing on 2-3 star hotels.
The company currently connects more than 5,000 hotels across Vietnam, with more than 10,000 bookings per month (over 1 million subscribers). Since its launch, several global OTAs have launched hourly booking services in Vietnam, but Go2Joy has been ahead of the curve with an overwhelming market share.
Kim Jin-young, CEO of The Invention Lab, who led the investment, said, “Go2Joy is rapidly absorbing not only Vietnamese couples in their 20s and 30s, but also various needs for private spaces such as parties and gatherings. “The younger generation in Vietnam is more proactive than in Korea, and the culture of gathering with lovers and friends is spreading rapidly, especially in big cities. By expanding to four-star hotels, Go2Joy is definitely giving the market the perception that it is a high-end private space matching platform that allows part-time booking and overnight stays.”
“We plan to expand not only in Vietnam, but also in Thailand, the Philippines, and other large cities with high demand for private spaces among young people,” said Byun Sung-min, CEO of Go2Joy.
