ZEPETO, the immersive avatar-based social platform operated by NAVER Z, has just announced its latest partnership with Gucci. This exciting collaboration not only unveiled Gucci’s 2024 Spring Collection on the runways of Milan but also brought it into the immersive virtual world of ZEPETO. Since its inception in 2021, the Gucci and ZEPETO partnership has consistently captured the attention of Gen Z users through a range of virtual Gucci items. This latest debut on ZEPETO solidifies the platform as the ultimate destination for unlocking Gen Z’s virtual wardrobe.

On September 22nd, ZEPETO hosted the debut fashion show of Gucci’s new Creative Director, Sabato De Sarno, via a live-streamed event. Right after the broadcast, exclusive items from Gucci’s 2024 Spring Collection made their debut on ZEPETO, providing users with an exclusive glimpse of the Milan Fashion Show.

As part of this collaboration, the existing Gucci destinations on the platform have been transformed into Gucci Ancora World, featuring a completely new look. The fashion show was live-streamed within Gucci Ancora World, meticulously designed to replicate the authentic atmosphere of a physical fashion show. Starting this October, this virtual space will offer even more immersive experiences and entertainment for users, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the latest offerings from the Gucci brand.

The strategic partnership between ZEPETO and Gucci, initiated in 2021, underscores their shared commitment to using virtual and digital experiences as a bridge to connect with Gen Z fashion enthusiasts. ZEPETO, with its Gen Z-centric platform, has attracted numerous global fashion brands seeking to engage with their future customers through immersive experiences.

Gucci’s collaboration with ZEPETO has been an undeniable success, with over 800,000 Gucci virtual items sold on ZEPETO and 53 million views of in-app user-generated content as of August 2023. Moreover, Gucci took a significant step into the digital realm by live-streaming its fashion show on ZEPETO for the first time in May 2023, amassing an impressive 56,000 views within just one week.

Ricky Kang, Head of Business at NAVER Z, emphasized, “ZEPETO is a platform where users can express themselves uniquely, and fashion and beauty items have become essential tools for users to express themselves in the virtual space. This is why many global fashion brands are now joining our platform to establish their presence and raise brand awareness among future customers.” Kang expressed his commitment to continuing to provide exciting collaborations that offer users diverse avenues for self-expression.
