Bodycherish, a trailblazer in South Korea’s sports nutrition technology sector, has successfully secured a pre-Series A bridge round of funding. This investment round witnessed participation from New Paradigm Investment, which had previously invested in March of the preceding year, as well as Bokwang Investment, marking its entry as a new investor.

Positioned at the forefront of innovation, Bodycherish offers a sophisticated array of sports nutrition products designed for optimal consumption in the critical moments before and after workouts. This selection includes protein supplements, boosters, health beverages, and protein bars, all distributed through an advanced “Smart Unmanned Nutrition Vending Machine” tailored specifically for fitness centers.

Je-hyun Park, the co-CEO of New Paradigm Investment, shared insights into the burgeoning sports tech market, which is projected to expand at an average annual growth rate of 18%, anticipating a valuation of $79.2 billion by the year 2032. Park emphasized the significance of the investment as a component of the Baby Unicorn Growth Program by New Paradigm Investment, aimed at fostering sustained growth for the enterprise. He expressed high expectations for Bodycherish, predicting it would spearhead the domestic sports nutrition tech industry and set new trends, thanks to its pioneering market position and dedication to user-centric service innovation.

Ji-hyun Roh, CEO of Bodycherish, outlined the strategic allocation of the fresh capital towards app development and the recruitment of pivotal talent. With a commitment to broadening their B2C initiatives, Roh announced plans for the imminent release of an innovative vending machine product and the integration of the company’s online store with its physical vending machines. By venturing beyond gyms into a wider array of fitness venues, Bodycherish aims to enhance its customer service, building on the solid foundation of its existing offerings.

As the first company in Korea to supply protein RTD (Ready to Drink) products both domestically and internationally, Bodycherish has been pioneering the initial market by deploying protein vending machines across national fitness centers, setting the stage for expansive growth in this dynamic sector.
