FROMSEOUL Secures Seed Investment to Enhance Web-Based XR Avatar Platform
Reading Time: < 1 minuteFROMSEOUL, a Korean startup, has secured seed investment from d.camp, Banks Foundation for Young Entrepreneurs, and TheVentures. They operate “EDEN-WORLD,” a web-based avatar platform facilitating the trading and easy creation/editing of XR (AR/VR) avatars.
EDEN-WORLD offers a range of solutions for convenient avatar creation and usage. This includes the EDEN Market, where creators can trade avatars and 3D assets, EDEN Studio for easy avatar creation/editing without needing complex 3D knowledge such as Unity, and EDEN Hub, which connects avatars directly to VR games like VRChat.
The platform aims to help global creators connect with XR users and monetize their content through collaborations with avatar creator communities worldwide. Following the initial launch last March, they plan to unveil an integrated market-studio platform in Q4 of 2024.
Yeonju Seok, Director of FROMSEOUL, expressed confidence in EDEN-WORLD’s potential, stating, “We believe that the versatility of avatars in EDEN-WORLD will shape the future of various services. To support this vision, we’re fostering collaborations with diverse avatar creators globally and making significant strides in related technological areas. With the complete EDEN-WORLD platform set for release in Q4 this year, we anticipate explosive growth on a global scale.”
