The Little Penguin program is an innovative startup growth support initiative run by KODIT to discover and support promising startups. It targets companies with excellent technology, promising business capabilities, and creative ideas, serving as a preliminary stage for KODIT’s flagship startup support program, First Penguin.
SANDY FLOOR is developing a casual shooting team battle game called “GREAT TOY SHOWDOWN.” This game involves teams competing to complete missions, featuring interactive and engaging gameplay that enhances user experience. It will be available for multiplayer on PC and console platforms, and is set to launch on Steam in the fourth quarter of this year.
SANDY FLOOR received high evaluations from KODIT for its technology, gameplay, and business potential. With the 1 billion KRW in financial support secured for the next three years, the company plans to accelerate game development by hiring UI/UX designers, community managers, and AI technical game designers.
SANDY FLOOR will officially showcase GREAT TOY SHOWDOWN at PlayX4, held from May 23 to 26. An event match will take place on the 24th in conjunction with the Gyeonggi E-Sports Festival, and on the 26th, the main stage in Hall 5 will host the GREAT TOY SHOWDOWN Event Tournament Match, featuring caster Seonghoon Lee and T1 content creator Untara. This event aims to gather feedback from players and fine-tune the game before its official release on Steam later this year.
Lee Jongchang, CEO of SANDY FLOOR, stated, “We are honored to have our game’s quality and potential recognized, as well as the growth potential of PC/console games. We are committed to thoroughly preparing for the launch of SANDY FLOOR’s first game, focusing on enhancing game quality and recruiting top talent.”
