The Korean startup Featuring, specializing in influencer impact analysis, announced on the 14th that it has entered into a partnership agreement with the Japanese integrated advertising agency, Flag, to offer its services in Japan as well.

Featuring initiated this partnership to adapt its influencer marketing platform, ‘Featuring’, to the Japanese market. Together, Featuring and Flag will co-develop influencer marketing solutions based on the ‘Featuring’ platform and collaborate on local operations in Japan, with Featuring leading development and Flag overseeing sales and marketing.

Featuring enables brands to manage the entire influencer marketing process themselves, from influencer discovery to marketing collaboration proposals and result analysis. Utilizing data from over one million daily social media channel activities, it assesses influencers’ impact, translates it into scores, and provides analytical reports on influencer accounts. This approach allows brands to select suitable influencers for their marketing campaigns and to forecast marketing outcomes.

Established in 2001, Flag is a comprehensive advertising agency headquartered in Tokyo, with additional offices in eight locations across Japan and Los Angeles, USA. Flag serves a range of global clients, including Google, Netflix, Amazon, Spotify, Asahi, and Sony.

With this partnership, Featuring aims to grow into an influencer marketing platform that encompasses both Korea and Japan, evolving into a cross-border marketing solution with access to Japanese influencer data. Moreover, the service will expand to encompass a total of five social media platforms, adding X (formerly Twitter) to the existing lineup of Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and Naver Blog. The Japanese local version of the Featuring service is slated for release in July.

Jang Ji-hoon, CEO of Featuring, stated, “The Featuring platform, which makes it possible to predict influencer marketing performance using data, has been well-received in various markets. This partnership is expected to act as a springboard for Featuring’s entrance into Japan and further global expansion.”

Founded in 2019 by former Kakao employees, Featuring is an influencer data management startup with a vision to digitize all influencers online, simplifying influencer marketing for everyone. Its primary services include ‘Featuring,’ which offers marketing strategy and campaign automation systems based on influencer impact analysis to consumers wishing to conduct influencer marketing, and ‘Cinnamon,’ a service enabling influencers to self-manage their influence. Featuring has provided its services to approximately 9,500 companies, including major corporations such as Cheil Worldwide, HS Ad, CJ CHEILJEDANG, LG H&H, and DongSuh Foods.
