The Banks Foundation for Young Entrepreneurs in Korea, also known as d・camp, organized a D.DAY event on February 29th, focusing on ‘Global Expansion and Investment.’ Out of 202 startups that applied, 8 finalists emerged, achieving an impressive ratio of 25 to 1. InShorts, a company specializing in AI-based indirect advertising solutions, emerged as the winner. The entire event was conducted in English, in line with its overarching theme of global expansion and investment.

InShorts operates an in-video indirect advertising platform that integrates brand products into pre-filmed video content. For instance, while dramas may take up to five months from production to airing and movies up to two years, InShorts leverages AI technology to place products in videos, bridging the gap between airing schedules and advertising timelines. In January, InShorts achieved its first domestic application by featuring Samsung Electronics products in the tvN drama ‘Maestra’, and is now planning for global expansion in line with the global wave of K-content.

JIRO is working on Dropshot, a Korean-style video stock service. Typically, only about 10% of footage shot by broadcasters or production companies is used, with the remainder being discarded. At CES 2024, JIRO revealed the beta version of Dropshot and is gearing up for a global launch. Additionally, it offers Dudum, a service that matches video production companies.

CEO Kangwook Lee plans to introduce features such as personalized content recommendations, a content-based chatbot for companies and creators, and automatic editing to transform long videos into various formats like shorts and highlights.

‘Tob&Bana’ runs SAMPLE ROAD, a cosmetic sample commerce platform. It sells cosmetics in small volumes to address consumer dissatisfaction with cosmetic purchases and transforms inventory disposal losses into profits for brands. Leveraging text mining AI technology, it offers personalized product curation and holds four related patents. With around 20,000 members, it was recognized as a promising startup by the Hong Kong Science & Technology Park in April 2023.

NUUA manages the ‘Nuua Aggregator’ and ‘Nuua Office’, automating the airline ticket distribution and sales process and offering an all-in-one SaaS for travel agencies, respectively. The Nuua Aggregator provides a booking engine that integrates NDC, GDS, and LCC, targeting travel agencies. ‘Nuua Office’ supports reservation, route management, sales, and customer service integration, promising to cut management costs by up to 80%.

The ‘Moneystation’ SNS forms a community through collective intelligence, facilitating the dissemination of investment content. It produces an average of 3,400 pieces of content monthly, with a three-year annual growth rate of 135%.

DBDLAB offers global research operation services for designing and analyzing various research types for potential customers in over 100 countries.
