Korean AI startup Inshorts has signed a contract to provide its artificial intelligence solutions to Alpha Group, China’s largest animation company. As part of this agreement, InShorts will supply its ‘AI Superscaler’ technology, which enhances the quality of video content, to Alpha Group.

Founded in 1993, Alpha Group is the first publicly traded animation company in China and is a comprehensive content group that operates across various business sectors utilizing animation and movie intellectual properties (IP).

InShorts’ ‘AI Superscaler’ is an AI-driven enhancement tool that improves the original quality of premium videos by leveraging specialized data and learning methodologies designed for 4K video.

Lee Geon-chang, CEO of InShorts, stated, “This contract allows us to contribute significantly to enhancing the IP value of China’s largest animation company. We are excited about using this opportunity to accelerate our global market penetration.”

Earlier this year, InShorts also formed business partnerships with Korea’s Animation Producers Association and the Busan Animation Association and is extending its cooperation with overseas production companies in China, France, and the United States. The company plans to expand its services to content producers in various fields, including advertising, drama, and film, as well as animation.

CEO Lee Geon-chang highlighted, “InShorts is at the forefront of the AI PPL field, a burgeoning trend in digital indirect advertising. We are committed to generating new revenue streams for advertisers and content producers through our active engagement in solution provision.”
