South Korean travel startup Live Anywhere has secured KRW 5 billion in Series A funding. The funding round was led by existing investors A Ventures, BluePoint Partners, and Aju Continuum, with new investors SV Investment and Goodwater Capital also participating. With this Series A round, Live Anywhere has raised a total of KRW 76 billion in funding.

Live Anywhere is a travel startup that provides a service recommending accommodations suitable for month-long stays, including fully furnished accommodations and workation accommodations. The company explained that the investment amount exceeded expectations due to its remarkable growth of over four times in 2022 compared to the previous year.

Cho Chang-rae, CEO of A Ventures, who actively participated in the follow-on investment in Live Anywhere, stated, “We decided to invest in Live Anywhere because we believe it can lead the domestic workation market, which is currently emerging, as well as the recovering overseas travel industry. Live Anywhere has successfully positioned itself as a key player in the travel industry, becoming the go-to brand for long-term or month-long stays.”

Since its launch in November 2020, Live Anywhere has surpassed an annual transaction volume of KRW 140 billion in 2022. The company attributes this achievement to its diverse range of accommodations and an app that is optimized for long-term stays. Currently, Live Anywhere offers more than 11,000 accommodations in 163 cities, both in Korea and overseas. Through the app’s search filters, users can quickly and accurately find accommodations tailored to their specific needs. The Live Anywhere mobile app has been downloaded over 1.3 million times.

Kim Ji-yeon, CEO of Live Anywhere, mentioned, “Despite not increasing our marketing expenses in the first quarter of this year, our transaction volume continues to grow steadily. This reflects the growing trend among users who seek month-long stays, and Live Anywhere provides the most suitable service to meet this demand.” Kim also added, “We have recently successfully expanded into Chiang Mai, Thailand. With this investment, we will accelerate our overseas expansion efforts and enhance the convenience for both domestic and international hosts.”
