Delivus, a South Korea-based small package delivery service, has raised KRW 4.6 billion in Series A funding. The round was led by Hana Ventures, Bass Investment, and Kimgisa Lab

Delivus is a technology-based real-time logistics platform company that provides same-day delivery and same-day return/exchange services to e-commerce companies. In particular, for same-day returns and exchanges, the company has dramatically reduced the return time from 3-4 days to 1 day. Through its data-driven and advanced regional clustering technology, Delivus enables fast delivery and return at the same level of cost as courier fees.

Since signing a same-day delivery business agreement with “Zigzag” operated by Kakao Style in May last year, Delivus has been successfully meeting the needs of its customers with an on-time delivery success rate of over 99%.

Since April, the service has been expanded to major cities in Gyeonggi and the Seoul metropolitan area, allowing customers in Gyeonggi Province to receive their orders today through Delirabbit’s delivery service.

The company plans to expand its services to major cities nationwide in the near future, and is currently preparing to launch same-day delivery and same-day return/exchange services with several large e-commerce companies based on its differentiated logistics competitiveness.

Delivus was founded by co-founders with serial entrepreneurship experience. Mr. Kim Yong-jae, CEO of Delivus, founded Knowre, an AI-based math education platform company in 2012 and successfully sold it to Daekyo in 2018, and Mr. Baek Jin-wook, CTO, co-founded My Music Taste and sold it to Com2us in 2022.

Hana Ventures’ Kang Hoon-mo and Jeong Soo-yeon, who led the investment, said, “The founders of Delivus are a proven business team with experience from startup to exit. With their differentiated technology and operating model, they are expected to lead the rapidly growing new logistics industry in the future.”

Yongjae Kim, CEO of Delivus, said, “The logistics industry has seen limited innovation despite its large market size and high growth potential. We want to revolutionize the current legacy systems in the logistics industry and provide indispensable services that benefit both e-commerce companies and their customers.”

The company plans to utilize the investment for new hubs and geographic expansion to increase shipment cappa, and expects to break even within the year through rapidly improving operational efficiencies.
