Dalpha, a Korean B2B AI startup focused on AI Experience (AX) innovation, has secured a pre-series A funding round of KRW 12 billion within just one year of its founding.

This funding round was led by Mirae Asset Venture Investment, with new investors such as Intervest, DSC Investment, IMM Investment, and Partners Investment also participating. Previous investors, including Primer Saze partners and Springcamp, joined this follow-on round. With this latest investment, Dalpha has raised a total of KRW 13.3 billion, including the initial KRW 1.3 billion from its seed round.

Dalpha, established in January 2023, has been creating and delivering customized AI solutions to help businesses maximize revenue, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience. They have developed and provided over 100 customized AI solutions across various industries, including e-commerce, fashion & beauty, marketing, and content.

The company has also collaborated with over 150 businesses on various AI projects, ranging from major corporations like KT Commerce, LG Uplus, Daehong Planning, and CJ Olive Networks to startups like My Real Trip, NRISE (the operator of Wippy), and MAKEUS (the operator of Dingo).

With this new funding, Dalpha plans to launch a new SaaS (Software as a Service) product to facilitate the easier adoption of customized AI solutions. This SaaS will offer a one-stop service, covering everything from connecting data sources and preprocessing to AI learning, inference, feedback, and post-management. This approach aims to lower the barriers for companies to adopt AI. Dalpha also plans to develop internal software that automates AI customization using a block assembly method, allowing for quick and precise creation of customized AI solutions.

Jo Jin-hwan, director at Mirae Asset Venture Investment, who led the funding round, stated, “Since the emergence of ChatGPT, AI adoption among companies has rapidly increased, but many businesses require customized AI solutions and professional support when integrating AI into their existing business models and processes. Dalpha has quickly met these needs, gaining market attention, and showing high growth potential, both in technology and execution, which is why we decided to invest.”

Do-kyun Kim, CEO of Dalpha, remarked, “Since our inception with a group of like-minded founders from Seoul National University, we’ve achieved remarkable growth in just one year, thanks to our talented team. With this new funding, we aim to expand our business by aggressively recruiting talent to enhance our technical capabilities across the entire B2B AI business spectrum, and by introducing a diverse range of products to further drive business expansion.”
